The Pub Show 2025
This year we have the honour of being one of the partners for the Pub Show 2025. The Pub Show is part of the Food and Hospitality Week at the Excel in London.
The Pub Show is the UK’s leading trade event for the pub sector.
The Food and Hospitality week encompasses IFE Manufacturing, IFE, The Pub Show, HRC and International Salon Culinaire as the UK’s biggest celebration of industry innovation.
The event consists of approximately 18 halls at the Excel, which is almost the entirety of one side of the venue which is huge! With 1,500 Food, Drink and Hospitality Suppliers and 30,000 trade visitors.
The event consists of numerous brands such as Brewdog, Cheez-it, Folkington’s, Tyrells, Flightcase Bars, Little Moons, Love Corn and Oatly who are just a few of the many companies exhibiting.
It gives the people in the industry the opportunity to explore, sample, learn and connect with others in the industry.
As a partner for the Pub Show we have built the Beer Garden in the centre of the show. The Beer Garden use the space for networking with industry professionals whilst delegates also get to take part in pub quizzes, bingo sessions and taste the beer.
The Beer Garden
We were asked to come up with a design that gave the feel of a pub garden and what better solution that one of our stretch tents.
As this had to be a temporary installation and there were no fixing points we had to create a design that allowed us to use ballast. We designed some steel legs that came with their own large base plates, which the concrete ballast could sit on to give the structure it’s stretch and create its fixing points.
The concept of the astro turf grass, steel legs and ballast worked as a starting point, but we wanted to get the feel of a beer garden in more detail. We decided to create the half height walling, which created an open feel but necessary for the purpose of the event, to look like plant boxes. Each wall was designed and built to fit the footprint of the area given, including the access points and dedicated area for the Flightcase Bars. The walling bespoke built and painted and housed an inset of astro to give the feel of a plant box. They were also created in such a way that they were wide and deep enough to be self-weighted.
To give the final finish of the beer garden we created a back wall using the same effect as the plant box walls, which was approx. 2.3m in height giving a backdrop to the bar serving area.
