Frequently asked questions
Stretch tents come in a range of standard sizes which you could hire for short or long term duration. They can also be made to fit to suit any area required.
Prices for renting and purchase do vary. If you are looking to hire a stretch tent it all depends on the size of the tent, the duration of hire and the method of fixing. I.e. is it being fixed to a building or stand alone? This can determine the installation timings etc. If you are looking to buy a stretch tent the price is based on size and fixing costs.
Drop us a call or email. If you have a rough idea of footprint size and a few pictures we can give you a rough starting price of hire or purchase. If required, one of our experienced team will then meet with you, do a thorough site visit, measure up and discuss all elements in more detail.
Stretch tent fabric comprises of an external barrier layer, which acts as waterproofing and is water repellent. This ensures the fabric does not get heavily soaked during the longest or harshest rainy conditions. The outer barrier also protects the underlying fabric from UV breakdown giving longevity and making the tent easy to clean.
As every venue is unique installation is dictated largely by size. It also depends how the stretch tent is being fixed i.e. to a building or as a standalone structure. We would always recommend professional installation to ensure safety of the tent and offer a full service to install it to the highest possible standard. (It’s really important this part is done properly.) We would, however, train your team to look after and maintain the tent once in situ – if this is something you’d prefer to do yourselves.
If you purchase a stretch tent we’d recommend that it comes down at least once a year for cleaning. Some venues choose to have the tent up during the winter for the colder season and so take it down in the summer to clean when customers can sit outside. Others do it the other way around and take it down for the winter to assist with tent longevity. It all depends on how you’re using the space. Some clients keep them up all year round and have them down for a month just to be cleaned and serviced which is a great approach for long term maintenance. The good news is that we do have the option to store tents when they’re not being used (please note a fee applies). Alternatively, they can be packed down into storage bags and stored onsite somewhere dry when not in use.
Yes! These are all available options, but would be considered an ‘extra’. We’ll talk you through this and quote for any elements you’d like to add on. For example, festoon is very popular for stretch tents and this can be rented or purchased through us too.
What colours and styles are available, and can I customize the tent to match my beer garden’s theme?
There is a huge range of colours available if you are looking to buy a stretch tent. Get in touch and we can advise what options are available.
A good question! And one we’re often asked. Firstly, stretch tents are very versatile so, no matter what your space is or where it is, there will always be an option that will work. Stretch tents can also be made to fit, they can be attached to buildings or containers, they can have permanent legs made, or they can stand alone. Marquees and Umbrellas are standard sizes and much less adaptable. Not only are they are expensive to buy but aesthetically they are just not as appealing to the eye. It all depends on what you are looking for but a stretch tent is a flexible, functional way of creating a space that really delivers impact and style.
If you look after your stretch tent with yearly cleaning and ensure it is maintained properly (particularly during bad weather) it can last 5-7 years. We always make sure to walk our clients through every step of this process to get the most of their stretch tent and make it last for as long as possible so as to maximise any investment.
