Pub Garden Stretch Tents are the Future for hospitality.
We love a pub garden install, especially with a Stretch Tent. Why, because we know how much joy it brings, not only the people sitting under it will enjoy come rain or shine, but how much the pub gets huge benefits from it. The appeal lies in the ability to enjoy the outdoors regardless of the weather, creating a cosy and inviting atmosphere for both hosts and guests.
It has become hugely popular to install a stretch tent in a pub garden from Spring until end of the Summer months and some keep it up all year round to have the extra space for people to sit. It’s great if you have a dog to be able to have the ‘inside outside feel’ enjoying the best of both worlds.
We visited the Hawk Inn last year to reinstall and fix their current stretch tent they owned, we took it away to get repaired in the hope for the client this fix would be enough. Unfortunately, the damage was a bit too substantial for repair and we could not guarantee it would see through the season.
We did however measure up and had another tent made to fit, which worked a treat and with the view overlooking the countryside it really gave another dimension to the pub and enabled additional event space to hire out, more bums on seats and a great atmosphere.
At the end of the season we took it down and had it cleaned ready for reinstalling for 2024. This time we were asked to have walls made so it could be used in all weathers. Walls that could easily be rolled up and removed if needed, but can be closed up when the bad weather kicks in.
We worked with RHI in South Africa they made some walls that worked well with what we had in mind. Once we were given the go ahead, they got making ready to ship over the UK. The stretch tent the pub already owned was also from RHI, which is why we chose to go to them for the walling as we knew it would match well.
Shipping things over from South Africa is very easy, especially when you use a really good freight company who handle all the detail for you. It gets picked up from the manufacturer and transported to the airport in Cape Town, the airline then place onto the plane and it comes into Heathrow airport where it gets, scanned, checked and released to our freight company who then deliver it directly to our warehouse front door ‘a great service’.
Once everything was in our hands we headed off to the Hawk Inn to install the stretch tent and walling ready for the season. The prep work onsite is always the time-consuming element especially when it’s a longer term install as its being fixed to the building itself. All in a days work, tent up walling on ready for Mothers Day!
The weather was on our side and sun was shining! A stretch tent is ideal for a pub garden or outdoor hospitality space.
