We are contracted to send one of our team out with the Extreme E Velocity team to support with all stretch tent installations and ensure they are set ready for the event with Velocity and Extreme E. The team have so far been to:
- Chile
- Uruguay
- Saudi Arabia
Next stop is Scotland, Sardinia, USA/The Amazon and back to Chile.
They own a variety of stretch tents that tour around with them, one of them being the Octobar Stretch Tent an amazing 8 sided structure which is used for a VIP area.
All events are sited at locations that are generally very remote, meaning all infrastructure has to be brought in. All of the cars and kit that Extreme E take around the world are all transported on a ship, which they bought as an ex-Royal Mail Ship, and converted just for this event, which includes an on-board scientific laboratory.
Extreme E is the first sport built out of concern for the climate crisis. With 30% of the planets C02 emissions coming from transport, Extreme E exists to demonstrate electric vehicles.
